Quick Workout Tips For When You Are Short On Time
Struggling with a busy schedule? Not finding the time to workout? We all have times when it’s harder to fit in our training sessions, luckily we’ve got some ideas to help you out…
Change Your Commute
Whilst you might not be able to head to the gym for a workout, one of the easiest ways to keep active is between your day to day activities. Can you change the way you get to work? Maybe hop on the bike instead of into the car? Could you walk between meetings rather than getting a lift? Or even just take a 10 minute walk on your lunch hour -there are some really simple ways to keep yourself moving during the day even if it isn’t your favourite class.
2. Get Up Half an Hour Earlier
Yes, it is hard to get out of bed in the morning and we’re sure the thought of getting up even earlier is not one you find inviting, however, making extra time in the morning to head to the gym or out for a run / walk can ensure you have got your exercise in for the day and can actually help you get your day off to a good start by feeling more energised! This doesn’t have to be everyday, see if you can start with 1-2 times per week and build a routine.
3. Schedule A Class With A Friend
Booking in classes or workouts with friends can help with accountability. If you are committed to training with someone you are less likely to back out of a session as that will have an impact on them too. If you know that you are likely to avoid working out because you feel it’s too much to fit in - get a friend to boko withe you and you will make the time!
