Don’t Fall Off The Fitness Wagon This December!
It certainly is a wonderful time of year and whilst we are all for relaxing and enjoying yourselves over the festive period - it’s important to remember that there are still a good few weeks in December to keep your focus and earn those mince pies.
If you know that you are likely to feel a little unmotivated as we move towards Christmas, here’s a few ways to make sure you stay on track over the next few weeks…
1. Schedule Your Workouts
If you know that you are likely to avoid the gym and opt for some mulled wine instead, then the best way to help yourself is to schedule in workouts and classes so that you are committed. This will increase your accountability and make you less likely to avoid heading out.
2. Meal Plan
This is the time of year when it’s easy to be lazy and reach for the cheese and biscuits rather than preparing a healthy and balanced meal. To avoid this, dedicate some time to batch cooking some good meals - this way when you want to reach for something sweet you can grab a pre-made meal that is more nutritious. It’s really important not to let the whole month go - you’ve put in all the hard work this year so let’s not let it go to waste!
3. Be Sensible
It sounds obvious but we can all get carried away when the festive treats are lined up in front of us. Our advice is to enjoy your christmas parties and social events and then in between be a little more careful about how many snacks and sweet treats you are consuming. We want you to relax and enjoy yourselves, however, it’s important to remember what your goals are and why you should still be eating and exercising mindfully this month.
