Feeling The Fatigue?

With only a few weeks to go until the end of the year, it’s normal to start feeling the fatigue. Whether, it’s work, Christmas prep, training or everything combined - here’s a few ways to help yourself keep well!

1. REST

It’s great that you’re committed to your training and that you want to push through the tiredness, however, during periods of time where our workload might be busier and our stress levels might be higher, it’s important to listen to your body and rest when you feel you need it. Often what catches us out is pushing things too far and then our body finally saying no - often leading to illness..

2. DIET

Try to make sure you are maintaining a healthy and balanced diet during winter - filling up on fruits, vegetables and foods that are nutrient dense will help to boost your immune system, giving your more energy and helping to prevent illness.

3. HYDRATION

Dehydration can be a major source of fatigue, keep a water bottle with you throughout the day so that you are constantly rehydrating yourself. Try to drink a glass of water first thing in the morning before you have your cup of tea or coffee, as they can dehydrate the body and suppress your craving for water so it’s good to rehydrate yourself first thing!
