This includes filling your diet with immune boosting foods such as plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, pulses and lentils and wholegrains. Try to incorporate these into hearty meals such as soups, casseroles and stews to help.
You can also think about boosting your immune system buy using supplements such as multivitamins, magnesium and more. Remember to research the supplements you are using to make sure they are right for the your body.
Fighting fatigue
Winter can be a busy time of year with Christmas coming up, it’s important not to let ourselves get run down with tiredness and over work this time of year. Therefore, try to make sure that you are giving yourselves breaks each day to let your body rest, make sure you are getting enough sleep and organise your days so that you are not overwhelmed with things to do.
Don’t let your exercise drop off the radar
We’ve all been guilty of not leaving enough time to fit in a workout, and in winter this is more common than ever when the days are darker and longer. Particularly around Christmas it’s easy to use the excuse that you are running out of time, but keeping our bodies fit and active is one of the best ways to ensure that we keep strong and healthy. The best way to do this is to schedule classes or gym time into your calendar so that you can’t book anything in at the same time. Another good way to keep committed is to exercise with someone, that way you are committing to going with them as well as training yourself which makes you less likely to cancel.
So, in conclusion; winter wellness can be maintained as long as we take the right steps, make time for yourself, keep your diet balanced and keep moving!
